Bear Sun Catcher - Aurora
Size: Approx. 5"H x 8.25"W
In a selection of colors representing the beautiful Aurora Borealis, this sun catcher features a majestic bear walking on the a rocky shore. The pebble and rock effect was created in shades of brown, gray, white and beige solid glass shards.
Each piece of this mosaic design is cut by hand. Any sharp edges are smoothed out on an electric grinder, then pieces are assembled on a base of clear glass. Metal hooks are fused between glass layers to accommodate the hanging hardware, which consists of coated 304 stainless steel wire and aluminum crimping sleeves for a secure finish.
From design stage to finished product, this design took approximately 28 hours to create.
My pieces are all cut by hand and kiln-fired in my home studio. They are created with great time, care and attention and each order is carefully inspected once complete to ensure that each item is free from damage or defect prior to shipping. I will package them with care to ensure they arrive safely to you.
