In a one of a kind ripple and swirl pattern, this mountain piece is stunning in hues of transparent and solid teal green, reminiscent of the magnificent glowing Northern Lights with hints of aqua, black and white.
Each of these designs begin as shards of colored glass loaded into the kiln in a ceramic pot, then heated to temperatures of 1600F. The glass becomes molten and drizzles out of holes in the pot and onto the kiln shelf creating a slab of glass with a rippled pattern in beautiful swirls of color. Each design is truly unique and cannot be duplicated.
The mountain design was created digitally in-house, then cut in my studio using a wet tile saw. Once cut, these pieces return to the kiln for a very slow heating and cooling schedule to avoid cracking the nearly 1/2" thick glass to polish the edges before being assembled in the aluminum metal stand.

From design stage to completion, this piece took approximately 2 design hours and nearly 100 kiln hours.

Disassembled for Shipping
Glass is removable and will be disassembled to avoid damage during shipping.
To reassemble once received, gently place each piece of glass into the metal stand to secure.
