"Gift Box" Lantern

Make the season merry and bright with a “Gift Box” lantern. This rustic farmhouse galvanized metal lantern features a fun and festive design as a wrapped "gift box".
Add a unique and festive touch to your holiday decor…this timeless design will never go out of style.
This design was created on a base of colorful transparent red, green and gray wispy glass. Strips of corresponding glass colors were cut for the "ribbon" design then finished with a prefired glass dot and 2 triangles of shimmery dichroic glass for the ribbon "bow". They were placed in the kiln and fired at temperatures of up to 1375F to fuse all the pieces together with a textured finish remaining. After kiln firing, silver metal leaf was added to the red lantern "ribbon" to add contrast. The side and back panels are clear glass.
Recommended for indoor use.
From design stage to completion, this piece took approximately 28 hours to create.
My pieces are all cut by hand and kiln-fired in my home studio. They are created with great time, care and attention and each order is carefully inspected once complete to ensure that each item is free from damage or defect prior to shipping. Assembly Required
Front door and side glass panels will be removed and wrapped separately for safe and efficient shipping.
To assemble when received, tilt each piece of glass diagonally through the front lantern door area, place into appropriate opening and press metal tabs gently to secure the glass in place.
Lighting Options
Included: One package of battery operated "Warm White" LED string lights
Alternative: Traditional wax candles or LED candles
CAUTION: if using traditional wax candles, use caution, as metal frame may be hot to the touch.
