Private Workshop Social Post.png

Haven Glass Studio is able to host private workshops for small groups for projects such as sun catchers, lanterns, dishes, plates, bowls or ornaments.

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

Must be a minimum of 4 and up to 6 people maximum for each workshop.

Groups of more than 6 people may be accommodated if date selected allows time to prepare/order materials.

*Age Requirement: 18+

*School-aged children 10+ welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent/guardian

CURRENT TIME AVAILABILITY

Monday to Friday: Evenings (between 6:00pm to 8:30pm)

Saturday/Sunday: Afternoon (between 1:00pm to 4:00pm)

LOCATION

Since my home studio space is quite cozy, I'm unable to accommodate workshops on site, so I've sourced 2 to 3 local venues within Cochrane, AB where workshops will be facilitated*.

*For corporate groups within Cochrane that have available space, I can come to your office space, as well.

All glass and supplies will be transported to the venue where participants will assemble their projects.  I will transport all projects back to my studio for kiln firing after each workshop.

Finished pieces can be picked up at my studio location in Cochrane, AB within 7 days once kiln firing is completed (directions to my studio will be provided).

PRICING

The cost of each workshop per participant varies depending on the project selected (see project options below).

Price includes:

  • all prepared glass materials, instruction, design guidance, kiln firing, assembly or adding hanging materials for sun catcher designs, packaging

In order to provide a substantial selection of glass to decorate each project, a significant amount of time is spent prior to each workshop in preparation to ensure colors of all different shapes and sizes are available:

  • pre-cutting glass (approx. 4 to 8 hours)

  • pre-firing glass (approx. 4 kiln runs at 6-8 hours each)

SAFETY PROTOCOL

ADDITIONAL INFO

IMPORTANT:  Chosen project may not be changed or modified, as all materials are prepared prior to the workshop.  It would be too difficult to accommodate all special requests and could potentially result in wasted materials.

As my workshops will start promptly at the scheduled time, I ask that all participants please arrive a minimum of 10 minutes early.

All participants will use white glue to adhere their design to the base glass.  Only a small amount is required, so the glue dries quickly and will be dry enough to transport by the end of the workshop day. Projects will then be transported to my studio for firing using a non-slip mat to ensure projects don’t move during transport. The glue residue burns off in the high temperatures of the kiln and doesn't affect the outcome of the final fired project.

Thanks for your interest in my fused glass workshops!
