312 Fifth Avenue, #18
Create this fun and festive set of 4 ornaments, including a tree, snowman, Santa belly and gingerbread house. Each ornament consists of 2 layers of solid glass, plus embellishments for a durable, premium quality ornament that can be treasured as part of your seasonal decor or gifted to someone special this holiday season.
ASSEMBLE 4 ORNAMENTS & ADD YOUR OWN SPECIAL TOUCH!
Participants will be provided with the following pre-cut ornament shapes:
1. TREE (3"H x 2.5"W)
2. SNOWMAN (2.75"H x 1.75"W)
3. SANTA BELLY (2.5"H x 2"W)
4. GINGERBREAD HOUSE (3"H x 2"W)
The basic design elements of each of these 4 ornaments have been pre-cut for participants to assemble during this workshop. Each participant will create the same set of 4 ornaments, including a tree, snowman, Santa belly and gingerbread house. Personalize the designs to your liking, such as choosing the snowman's scarf color and deciding how the tree and gingerbread house will be decorated, using a variety of glass embellishments that I'll have available in both transparent and solid colors.
The decorated pieces will be taken back to my studio for firing in my kiln. Using a “tack” fuse technique, your ornaments will emerge from the kiln with a beautiful textured finish, as in the sample workshop photo. Jute rope will be added for hanging.
Project will be fired in my studio and available for pickup at Route 22 Artist Collective Gallery within 10 days after the workshop.

REGISTRATION FOR EACH WORKSHOP IS HELD WITH PAYMENT IN FULL. Registration is complete once payment has been made. In the event of the workshop being cancelled by Haven Glass Studio, a full refund will be issued.

Haven Glass Studio is committed to a safe creative environment using safe work practices.
There are many elements to glass work that require various safety protocols. Glass can be hazardous without the proper use of PPE.
Depending on the task, I routinely use high quality safety glasses, respirators, disposable dust masks and gloves, work gloves, face shields and hearing protection in my studio at all times and each workshop will adhere to the same safety protocols.
This workshop uses glass shards/fine glass particulates. The following safety PPE is required and will be provided:
- SAFETY GLASSES: Required at all times. Glass shards and crushed glass can cause eye injuries from flying particles.
- PARTICULATE DUST MASK: Required when working with any type of crushed or powdered glass or other particulate matter. Glass creates fine particulate matter that can linger in the air. Exposure to dust inhalation can cause serious and permanent damage to your lungs.
- GLOVES: Required when reaching into glass shard containers. Glass shards can cause skin lacerations from sharp edges.
Safety glasses and dust masks are required while creating your project. Gloves are required when reaching into glass shard containers.
Closed toed shoes and long pants required.
Each person will be required to sign a waiver/release form to participate, which will be provided at the beginning of the workshop.
For everyone’s safety, if a participant or participant's close contacts are displaying ANY symptoms of FLU, COLD or COVID-19, including symptoms such as pink eye (conjunctivitis) as supplies and tools are shared, the participant is asked not to attend. Please contact Haven Glass Studio directly and the workshop fee will be fully refunded or the project can be made into a "Make-At-Home" Glass Fusing Kit* to be completed off-site and returned to my studio for kiln firing.
*For alternative "Make-At-Home" Fusing Kit option: a portion of the ticket fee will be refunded as participant will not complete project in person.
IMPORTANT: Project may not be changed or modified, as all materials are prepared prior to the workshop. It would be too difficult to accommodate all special requests and could potentially result in wasted materials. As my workshops will start promptly at the scheduled time, I ask that all participants please arrive a minimum of 10 minutes early.
All participants will use white glue to adhere their design to the base glass. Only a small amount is required, so the glue dries quickly and will be dry enough to transport by the end of the workshop day. Projects will then be transported to my studio for firing using a non-slip mat to ensure projects don’t move during transport. The glue residue burns off in the high temperatures of the kiln and doesn't affect the outcome of the final fired project.
